Greetings North Hero School families!

My name is Ms. Kylle, and I am the librarian for North Hero and Grand Isle Schools. I will be at North Hero on Mondays and Tuesday, and at Grand Isle on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. You can reach me at at any time, and I will do my best to respond within 24 business hours.

With the current restrictions, we have decided to continue to have library class in student classrooms. We will still be checking books out and learning how to better use our technology. My hope is that we will be able to start learning new skills like coding this year! While I do still have my book cart, grades 3 - 6 will be learning how to use our online catalog and requesting books online. These classes will still be working on Google Classroom, so make sure you have your class code!

A note: if you have any books from the library at home, please be sure to bring them in so we can get them back in circulation. There are no fines for these late books, I just want to know what we have and what we will need to get.

Lastly, let me tell you a little about myself. I have lived in nine states and three countries in my life, and have been enjoying the past year I've lived in Vermont. This summer, I spent most of my time reading, working on my home, and exploring Vermont with my spouse.  I love traveling, reading, meeting new people, and eating food from all of the places we visit. While I miss the people, culture, and food in New Orleans, I’m so excited to continue to meet new people here on the Islands and learn all about Vermont. I expect all of my new students to tell me about the ways they keep warm in the winter, because I am STILL not used to the cold!

I can’t wait to have class with all of you and share my love of reading!

Ms. Kylle
