Hello families! My name is Natalie Kendrach and I am excited to be joining the team at North Hero School as one of the K-6 Interventionists this year! As an Interventionist, I will be working with students on literacy and/or math skills, either in or outside of the classroom. In doing so, I will be collaborating with classroom teachers, our other interventionist, the guidance counselor, our special education teacher, the principal, and the district SEL (social emotional learning) coach.
For those of you who don’t know me, I grew up in Columbus, Ohio and received my teaching degree from The Ohio State University. After doing so, I was a classroom teacher in Ohio for nine years and also worked at an outdoor school in California for a year. Right before having my daughter, Olivia (age 7), my husband, Mitchell, and I moved to NY. We spent 4 years in the Saratoga Springs area, where we welcomed Henry (now age 5) to our family. In 2019, the four of us moved to South Hero and have since fallen in love with the Islands and the people who live here!!
This year, I will be joined in the afternoons by Chelsea French, our preschool teacher and part-time interventionist. She and I are looking forward to working together to support the children and staff at North Hero School on their journey to becoming life-long learners.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
