WELCOME LETTER

Welcome to fifth and sixth grade! My name is Mrs. Thomas and this is my third year at North Hero School. I am so excited to work with you all!

I was born and raised in Waterbury Center, Vermont. I received my bachelor’s degree from St. Lawrence University, and my Master of Education degree from Merrimack College. Before coming to North Hero, I spent time in Houston working with foster children, as well as working as a special education assistant in Massachusetts. Both of these experiences led to my desire to teach, as well as helped me understand the importance of a supportive environment for children.

I currently live in Westford with my husband, two dogs, and cat. In my free time, I love to horseback ride, kayak, and spend time with my family. 

As a teacher, I strive to create meaningful relationships with students and help them discover their unique abilities. Each child learns and processes things differently, and I hope to create an environment where all students will grow socially, emotionally, and academically. 

I cannot wait to learn with you all this year!
